J K Lakshmi Cement plans 1.5 million tpa cement grinding unit in Bhedyiadang

J K Lakshmi Cement is planning to set up a cement grinding unit in Chakla (Bhedyiadang Industrial Area) in Kishanganj Tehsil in Bihar. The project involves setting up of 2 x 0.75 MTPA of clinker grinding unit and an autoclave aerated concrete block unit (1000 m3 /day). The project also involves setting up of a 10 MW ( 2 x 5 MW) captive power generation using diesel power. Total land required for the proposed project is 14.02 ha. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 3000 million.

Raw materials required for the proposed grinding unit are Clinker which will be procured from JKLCL Durg Plant, Gypsum from Bhutan/ Bikaner (Rajasthan) and Fly ash from Kalgaon (Bihar) / Farakha (WB). Raw materials required for the manufacturing of AAC Block are Flyash which will be procured from Kalgaon (Bihar) / Farakha (WB), Cement from the captive grinding unit, Gypsum from Bhutan/ Bikaner (Rajasthan) and Quick Lime & Aluminium powder will be procured from open market.
