Bihar government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for construction of the Phase-I of the Patna Metro Rail Project. The state government of Bihar had allotted the Patna Metro work to DMRC on nomination basis which will complete the work on deposit work method at a project cost of Rs 482.87 crore. The work on the project is expected to commence by the end of 2019 by completing the tendering process.
The phase I of the metro is expected to be completed in 5 years.
